On the Nick Jr. channel, The Bubble Guppies is a great animated show for children ages 6 months to 6 years to watch. The characters are very motivational and are great with encouraging children to develop meaningful skills. While watching bubble guppies, children learn about academic skills great for future schooling. Creativity and morals also play a role in what the bubble guppies teach. Children are also taught that respecting authority and having great manners are important. All of these characteristics are great for children to learn to develop at a young age. The characters included in the show are; Molly, Gill, Deema, Goby, Oona, and Nonny. They are called the “Bubble Guppies”. The characters are Pre-school mermaids that show great examples of pre curriculum that children need to learn while growing and developing. These characteristics make them awesome role models for young children.
While watching the show, you notice the motivation The Bubble Guppies give off to the viewers of the show. The characters enforce encouragement and to never give up when dealing with a difficult task. Whether they are digging for fossils or trying to find items in a grocery store, they always find ways to successfully achieve their goals. When dealing with difficult tasks the bubble guppies are always trying to find successful techniques that don’t involve stressing out and making the situation worse. When in a sticky situation the bubble guppies always try to find calm and effective ways of approaching the problem. Any sort of lessons that the Bubble Guppies teaches doesn’t involve them giving negative coping techniques with any issue. In the episode “Get Ready for School” the Bubble Guppies friend, Avi is very nervous about going to school for the first time. The Bubble guppies encourage Avi to be enthusiastic about going to school. They try to make him comfortable by letting him know that he will make tons of new friends and that the teacher is there to take care of him. After Avi’s first day of school, the bubble guppies took a trip to visit to see how his day went. As a surprise, the Bubble guppies found out that with their encouraging and motivational techniques, Avi opened up and enjoyed his first day of school.
Other great qualities of the bubble Guppies’ show is, that they teach children about math science, and literature, way before they even begin school. Even if your child is in school, it can still help them as well. In every show, the Bubble Guppies always get children’s brains motivated for learning math. In every episode, one of the characters always asks children to count various items with them, or even ask them to add or subtract with them. When doing this, the bubble guppies often use objects of the child’s interest which gets them going. The bubble guppies also get children interested in the wonders of science. For example, in “The moon Rocks episode”, they talk about the solar system and teach children the planets, and the sun. They also discuss the moon and the creators on it. This is something most children don’t learn until the second grade. The Bubble Guppies also offers ways to teach children to be literate. The bubble guppies make sure to at least use a few big words in every episode. This is a good way to expand a child’s vocabulary, and knowledge of words for the future.
Another positive factor about the Bubble Guppies is the creativity and morals that children can learn from in the show. In every episode of the bubble guppies, at recess time when they go outside, they often tell creative stories that make your mind wonder. In these stories that the bubble guppies tell, they travel all over the world and experience new surroundings, climates and locations. This brings creativity to the child’s mind and makes them curious. When on these missions, they learn to help others and create new life morals to live by. In The episode “The Beach Ball!” ,Molly and Gill come across a young lobster, Sandy, who loves to sing and dance. In the episode, Sandy has two sisters who are very mean to her and make her do all the work at their family owned coconut water shack. Sandy has so much work to do that she might not make it in time to The Beach Ball (dance. With help around the corner, The Bubble guppies came to the rescue to help her Finish making coconut water, so she could go to the beach ball in time. When children develop morals, it can stay with them for the rest of their lives.
Finally the last thing that bubble guppies have to offer is their outstanding performance in showing respect to authority. The bubble guppies show this by giving good examples of manners and learning how to share with others. When the bubble guppies are with friends, adults, and, parents, they are always polite and well mannered. All of the characters tell their teacher good morning, and they always are very polite to everyone they interact with in the show. When approaching adults they always treat them with respect and courtesy. This is a great skill for children of all ages to develop. When children learn to be courteous at a young age before pre-school, parents won’t have to worry about whether or not their child is behaving at school
Whether your child is 6 months old or entering kindergarten, the Bubble guppies gives them the skills they need in order to achieve academic success. Also, when diving with the bubble guppies you are sure to make a splash on your child’s educational development as well. All in all the bubble guppies is a great way to make your children excited and crave learning. The skills that the bubble guppies bring to children are very important for their future successes.
